What is WPMS Music Boosters Club?
The Woodland Park Middle School Music Boosters Club is a group of Volunteer parents that work to support the Woodland Park Middle School's instrumental music program. We are a Not-for-Profit organization that work to help WPMS Music program succeed each year. We meet every first Tuesday of the month at the band room at 5.30 pm. Please join us.
What is Woodland park Music Program?
The WPMS music program has more than 300 students participating this year. The different ensembles are Beginning band, Concert band, Symphonic band and Jazz bands (Stage band & Gig band). Our music director, Michael Schmidt, has diligently worked over the past eight years to expand the music program.
Why FUNDRAISE and how Is it used?
The district allowance is not sufficient for a successful band program. The money we raise each year supports some of the following components: Purchase/maintenance of music instruments, supply sheet music, hire music coaches, music competition entry fees, transportation to events and much more. Apart from personal donations we also welcome corporate sponsorship, raffle items for our concerts or advertising for our website and programs.
How can I volunteer?
You can help in many different ways. Here are some of them: Chaperoning students through concerts & festivals, help with admin work like copying & data entry, uniform measurements & checkout, moving equipment& instruments. Please check Signup-genius through our volunteer page.
We are also actively looking for volunteers to help us with event organization, fundraising, update website information and manage our social media. Even if you have very limited time or cannot be on campus, there are opportunities for you to be part our music program.
